Nutritious meals are essential to good health; therefore, we serve three well balanced meals each day from our fully licensed kitchen, plus two snacks. When needed, we also provide for your special dietary needs.

SECURITY

We provide for your security 24 hours a day 7 days a week.    This includes required nightly visual room checks by our staff and a personal alert system.    In-house personnel are available to handle any emergency that arises.

HEALTH CARE

We are not a nursing home.    The health care of residents are directed by our very capable Resident Manager who provides support and care when needed and is a vital link between our residents and their doctors.    We assist with scheduling doctor appointments and coordinating ancillary services (visiting therapists). A medication reminder service can be arranged for those who have such a need.   In addition, a Personal Care service can be provided for those who need assistance in bathing.   We believe that community living prevents many of the health problems that occur when a person lives alone.    That is why we truly believe that community living promotes a longer quality life.

TRANSPORTATION

Planned local transportation can be available.   You will have access to shopping, barber & beauty shops, and a variety of medical facilities.    We have Sunday church services for those who wish to attend; however, if a local church is more to your liking transportation can be arranged.    We provide transportation for a variety of local and general area activities.

DAILY HOUSEKEEPING AND LAUNDRY

Our staff has been chosen because they care and relate well with our residents.    Just one of the many ways this is portrayed is in the daily housekeeping and personal laundering provided.    Fresh linens are also provided.    It is our wish to meet your individual needs.

OTHER SERVICES

We provide numerous services to assure you the security, freedom and comforts of home that you deserve.    To that end -- our staff assists with many “little things” such as reminders for special appointments and transporting you to them if needed (locally).    Shopping for you when you can not get out to shop. Someone is there to talk with you when your family is unavailable.   We truly care about you as an individual and as an intricate part of the Tawas Village Family.

PLANNED SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT

Once a member of the Tawas Village family, you will be able to share your experiences and talents with others.   This will open the gateway to an even more rewarding life.    We hope that all of our residents will take part in the planning of activities.    We want to provide you with social functions you can enjoy.

We provide a variety of activities to encourage physical fitness, spiritual growth, intellectual awareness, social fulfillment, awaken imaginations, and lively entertainment.

AFFORDABILITY

Tawas Village is an investment in security and quality of life.    Cost is important to everyone.    While we are not government subsidized we do provide all of the services previously mentioned and many that we have not emphasized for nominal monthly fees.

We do not require endowments or life long leases.   We believe that people deserve options for short term and long term needs.

Before you make judgments regarding our fees, we ask you to carefully analyze your current expenses for utilities, household maintenance, snow removal, yard maintenance and many other daily considerations.

We are an alternative for you to enjoy even if it is strictly on a trial basis.
